Photo Friday – Stained Glass Windows
September 5, 2008
PHOTO FRIDAY !!!
Well, if you read my cousin’s blog last week, you’ll see a stained glass window photo which she inadvertantly posted the wrong week….and yes, that was about the only one of my photos that we took of stained glass windows on our venture that came out as well….we couldn’t get into any of the churches (except one of them was having a funeral, and the thought did cross my mind to just wander in, but I figured I would get caught when I started taking photos…who takes photos at a funeral??)….anyhow,
here is my entry to this week’s theme:
“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”
- Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

A beautiful window and I love the quote too. A fine entry for this week, thanks.
I wonder who Simon P is? Do you think the window is in memory of him? Or could he have donated it? It’s thought provoking. Do tell if you know.

Like the window, and like Author, I thought this might be a memorial window.

Copied the quote from one of the other “Photo Fridayers” Hope they don’t mind….wanted to capture it somewhere for future use, and figured in there it’s safe!
By the way, the inscription below the photo, SIMON P. is I’m assuming, Simon Peter, one of Jesus’ apostles. Lou’s photo friday entry shows the entire stained glass window.
