Scripture Cards – 2nd in Series
Isaiah 40:31

This photo was taken on a trip to the Grand Canyon, I believe….it was a rainy day, and I didn’t get to take very many photos, but I did manage to capture a few! Some day I’d like to get a telephoto lens big enough to really capture birds in the air!

Scripture Cards – 1st in Series
A few years ago I started as part of my photography collection a grouping of scriptures that were somehow special to me, and had very intentional photos in my mind that they needed to be paired up with…so I spent about a year hunting down the right photo opportunity to align with certain scriptures from the Bible. I have about 7 or so now, but have more in my head, but have had to set it aside temporarily…..but I would like to share the ones I have printed…I will publish one a week, on Sundays, as a small gift to God, for his unfailing love to me.

This photo was taken from on top of the hill around the corner from where I used to live in Colorado Springs. We have the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets….this is a sunrise….mid-september at about 6:00-6:30 am…..absolutely breathtaking to me!

Photo Friday – Wildlife
This week’s theme for Photo Friday: Wild Life

This Week we are focussing on “Wild Life” I don’t have much in my supply of photos of wild life….but when my cousin Linda and I went to Wyoming to see Devil’s Tower (previous entry), we went through some national park area an a d came across these Antelope and Prairie Dogs. Of course, the antelope were constantly running away, whenever I tried to get out of the car and get close….so it’s not a very good photo…and the prairie dogs came out blurry…we had a great time though!
These guys look mighty dangerous, I know!

Photo Friday – Reflections
This week’s theme for Photo Friday: Reflections

As I stated last week, I went to Aspen to visit my cousin. I took Independence pass to get there and back. The trip there was uneventful as far as photography goes….it rained over the entire pass. Luckily, I stopped in a litlte town called Lake George for a picnic lunch so I did get some outside photos, but not on the pass as I was hoping for…..so the trip home saved me! It was absolutely gorgeous out…perfect weather, no rain…..It still amazes me that when it’s soooo hot at 6,000 ft. elevation, there can be snow at 12,000. I think that is what the elevation is at the top of Independence Pass.
So, here is my entry…..not too much to see in the reflection, but all I have to display…

Photo Friday – Numbers & Names
This week is: Names & Numbers
Photo Friday!!

A couple weeks ago, I went to Aspen for a couple days to visit my cousin…..we went on a wonderful hike up Mt. Sopris. It started out as fairly easy, open terrain, incredible views…then we went through this fairy-like forrest of aspens, where I got this week’s photo. Onward up the mountain, we entered a darker part of the forrest where we found more pine trees than aspens and the whole smell and feel of the hike changed. Towards the end, we came to narrow trails deep in the mountain, which were wonderful, until the mosquitos and deer flies found us. So, we headed back down, before making it to the top, which was 11 miles, so I guess that’s okay, I wasn’t prepared for a 11 mile hike! I took probably 100 photos on that hike. But this week, I will share the ones from the aspen forrest, as it is appropriate to this week’s theme.
Enjoy!
For me, this is a mixed emotion of carving on the trees….I know it is harmful to the trees (or at least I think it is, I don’t know…these tree are still alive and some of the dates are pretty old) but it is also a neat type of “graffiti”…..sorry if I offend anybody with these…..
