Photo Friday!!
Good Friday Morning to Everyone!
This week’s entry is from a collection I took in the Fall of 2005 in Buena Vista, Colorado. I love rivers!
This is the Arkansas River. This particular part of the river is very serene and inviting. Other parts are much more adventurous. That same year, earlier in June or July, my daughter and I went white water rafting with friends down this river! I have attached a photo of this, too! We had a blast. Of course, because we had children in our raft, they gave us the raft which allowed very little participation. The guy in the back was doing most of the work….we got to “row” occasionally and oh yeah, we did get the job of scooping out the water that was leaking into the boat with a bucket! All in all it was fun, but if you want to really participate in the rafting experience, make sure you ask to be in a participation raft (or whatever they would call it!)

The colours in the photo of the Arkansas River are crisp and bright and beautiful – I guess the air must be very pure and clean. It’s a lovely photo. The rafting sounds great fun.

The colors are very pretty in the first picture. I’ve never been white water rafting, my dad went once and liked it very much.

Oh this is such beautiful photos. It reminds me of tubing down the Colorado River in Arizona. The colors are beautiful.
Looks as though you all had fun in that raft too!

These are great! I would frame that top one – so colorful. (and guess what – I even know how to pronounce the AR-KANSAS river!)

I actually did frame it!!! It’s a set with another one from the area of mountains and such…maybe it’ll make another posting. It sits on my fireplace mantel with the companion.
